If you were lucky enough to snap one up, its time to get on a roll with your costume. Fancy Dress is OBLIGATORY on the Saturday evening of your club’s birthday party – but it’s EASY to put one together, so don’t let that put you off from joining in this fantastic weekend of outdoor climbing fun!!! Here’s an easy way to create your costume…

The rules are simple – come as a climbing route name. You need to know the name of the climb, the grade, and where it’s found. Your route does NOT need to be in the UK, and you do NOT need to have climbed it (but we will be impressed if you have…) There will of course be prizes! Climbing routes have some marvellously weird names like “The fallen Madonna with the big boobies” (seriously!) so there is bound to be one just right for an oddball like you!

If you are stuck for ideas, just look at what clothes you can throw together to make a costume (e.g. if you have a pair of jeans, a chequered shirt – with just a couple of accesories you could be a cowgirl!) Then simply type ‘cowgirl’ into the search part of the UK climbing website (link below) to reveal a wealth of routes that have ‘cowgirl’ in their name, then simply tweak your costume to match the rest of the route name. If you own a lot of black clothes, try "Zorro” or “Ninja”. EASY!!!
