WHAT?
★ ICAS Outdoor Climbing Club is holding its annual AGM.
★ If there is one meeting you come to (even if your presence is digital rather than physical), it should be this one.
★ The agenda for the AGM, including available committee positions and an outline of what is involved will be attached to this post shortly. If you have any items you would like added to the agenda, please email or message Ed G.

WHERE?
The Bodyworks (yoga) Studio at the back of the Reach, on the ground floor.

WHEN?
Tuesday 28th June.

WHY?
The main focus of this AGM is to vote in the club committee officers for the coming year, and to align the club’s activities with member’s current needs and wants.

Posts to vote on:
1. President
2. Meets & trips officer (Decide where and when you want to climb – then use our money – subject to availability, to book the accommodation)
3. Equipment officer (Buy new kit for the members to use. Periodically check condition and inventory.)
4. Treasurer (Authorise spending requests, monitor balance, and decline spending requests that may not be viable.)
5. Media & communications officer (Post news, and reply to general enquiries on our Facebook and TeamApp accounts.)
6. Membership Officer. Check and add member details to The BMC database, when they purchase ICAS Outdoor membership using TeamApp.

WHO?
★ It is advised that all ICAS outdoor members attend, and any Indoor social climbers who are interested in the outdoor club.
★ ALL committee positions are available for YOU* to fill – so this is a brilliant opportunity to get involved, and help make the club into one that really suits your climbing goals and desires!
★ Committee roles are open to all Outdoor members, and there are other positions open to Indoor members (including meetup hosts, which gets you FREE entry to the Reach!) Training is available for all roles.
★ *Please note: Only paid up members of the BMC Affiliated ICAS Outdoor Club will be able to vote for, or become committee members at the AGM.
★ Indoor members are welcome (and encouraged) to attend.
★Indoor members are eligible for some positions including: Social Secretaries, and Indoor Meet Hosts.
★ Indoor members can become Outdoor members (and therefore vote and be elected to the committee) if they:
1. Meet entry Outdoor experience requirements (safe lead belaying).
2. Have active ICAS Outdoor membership – available in the ICAS store on the app, and website.

WHY (else)?
★ The AGM is a great way to meet other Indoor and Outdoor club members, and find out how we work.
★ You will meet many of the people who make things work behind the scenes.
★ It’s an ideal opportunity to ask any questions you may have, put your views forward, and find out about, and join the Outdoor Club.
★ There will also be news of upcoming trips, and opportunities to propose new ones.
